From this I get that he doesn’t really like lager, I know he likes Guinness so I’m guessing from that he has an appreciation of bitter (nomnom) but I just think a guy wouldn’t have held the beer so near his face for so long without taking a sip if he didn’t like it. Guys tend to take a sip then put the beer down, with bitter this is often to let it settle but lager doesn’t really require settling so it tends to get drunk faster and is rarely held in front of the face like this. Yes, I spend a large proportion of my life in public houses and taverns up and down the country and around the world, this interests me.
